Taiwan-U.S. AI Robotics Industry Collaboration Showcase: TM Robotics and AMET Join Forces to Capture the Global Automated AI Welding Market
Idaho Governor Brad Little is scheduled to lead a trade delegation to Taiwan in November 2025, aiming to deepen bilateral collaboration in the AI robotics sector. On November 4, with support from TUSA (Taiwan-U.S. Industry Collaboration Promotion Office), the event “Taiwan-U.S. AI Robotics Industry Collaboration Showcase: Welding the Future, Connecting the World” was held. The unveiling ceremony was jointly hosted by the MOEA Industrial Development Administration Secretary, TUSA Executive Director, Governor Brad Little, a commercial officer from the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), the CEO of TM Robotics, and the President of AMET, demonstrating new milestones in Taiwan-U.S. cooperation.
The event featured the debut of a prototype AI collaborative welding robot jointly developed by TM Robotics and AMET. The robot integrates visual recognition and intelligent welding technologies, showcasing the two sides’ capability in cross-border R&D for smart manufacturing. The event drew 47 attendees, including key industry representatives from Han Hsiang Aviation, China Steel Structure, China Steel Machinery, Jong Shyn Shipbuilding, Jun Yi Industrial, Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC), and Chen Sheng Tech, reflecting the high level of interest from the automation and welding sectors.
A luncheon was also arranged with AMET representatives to facilitate deeper engagement with Taiwanese industry, creating concrete opportunities for future collaboration in precision welding and automation applications. TUSA will continue promoting supply chain integration and international expansion in the AI robotics sector, reinforcing the Taiwan-U.S. technology partnership and bilateral industrial growth.
